This month we recommend two great reads...

Practicing God's Presence: Brother Lawrence for Today's Reader
By Robert Elmer

I have been so excited for the new release of this classical Christian literature. Brother Lawrence and his practice of the presence of God, are a traditional read for me every time I go to California. Having read another version of this countless times, I am stoked to have the "American vernacular" version of Brother Lawrence, by Robert Elmer, translating ancient words into today's understanding, while also providing a rich historical background and a building base for implenting the practice into our lives today. This is a short read, but no matter how many times you read it, it will always be refreshing and challenging towards your relationship with God. -Chrissy S.

Praise Habit: Finding God in Sunsets and Sushi
By David Crowder

David Crowder proves that he is not only gifted as a musician, but as a writer. This read has quickly become a personal favorite as I struggle to put it down. This semester we've looked into Seeing Glory Face to Face, and part of that prayer is to seek out the glory of God. I recommend this book to those who want to refresh their walk with God and be constantly at awe of His majesty. You'll take a walk through the Psalms and discover a new lifestyle. -Chrissy S.
